Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan and former Interior Secretary, Ryan Zinke appeared on the Ingraham Angle on Fox News Monday night discussing the production of more oil along with how it affects American workers. Sullivan reiterates his position that the United States shouldn’t be getting more oil from Russia than Alaska.

This all comes as President Joe Biden announced that the United States is banning Russian oil imports as gas prices soar. Biden made the announcement as the situation with Russia and Ukraine continues. There had been growing pressure, especially from Alaska’s Congressional Delegation to enact such a ban. In the speech from the White House, President Biden called the ban imposition another blow to Russia during its invasion. Biden stated that Russian oil only makes up a small part of the oil available in the United States, but warned that gas prices could rise even more.

In his speech, President Biden said that oil companies shouldn’t price gouge and profiteer on the increasing price of oil.
