Interviews to determine the new superintendent of the Kenai Peninsula School District begin today.
The public is encouraged to listen to those interviews and School Board President Joe Arness detailed the special meeting that will begin at 12:30 in the Borough Assembly Chambers.
Arness:” We will start at 12:30 in the afternoon. Each candidate will be interviewed for a 45 minute time span with a 15 minute break in between them, so we will interview them all that afternoon, and then we will as a Board make a determination as to whether we are ready to proceed and there are still options available to us at that point, but hopefully on the 3rd of March we will have a solution to this dilemma.”
Interim Superintendent Sean Dusek is a candidate for the permanent position, his interview is scheduled for 12:45 pm.
Iditarod Area School District test coordinator, principal, and teacher Kim Bergey’s interview is scheduled for 2 pm.
