Inventure Food, INC has issued a recall for select Rader Farms Fresh Start Smoothie Blends.
They may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that is capable of causing listeriosis, an uncommon but potentially lethal disease.
Women who are pregnant should take particular caution as well as those with weakened immune systems such as infants or the elderly.
The select varieties of smoothie blends were available at Costco and Walmart and the Alaska DEC has confirmed the items were available in Alaska however no illnesses have been confirmed related to the recall.
