The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge has scheduled a trapping or snaring orientation seminar for anyone interested in 2015-2016 trapping permits.
The class will be from 9 am to 5 pm on October 24 at the Refuge Environmental Education Center on Ski Hill Road in Soldotna.
This is a required class for anyone who has not taken it before and is interested in Kenai Peninsula trapping permits for the upcoming season.
All Refuge trappers are welcome but those who have previously attended the seminar do not need to re-attend.
Trapping permits for the 2015-2016 trapping season will be available at the Refuge Headquarters beginning October 9 during regular business hours.
Refuge Officer Joe Williams can be contacted at 907-260-2852 for any questions.
