Teaching them the fundamentals of business, management, and capital investment, Lemonade Day registration is now open…
Yeager: “It’s not just setting up a table and selling lemonade, there’s all kinds of things that go into it. Where are you going to get the lemonade? How are you going to pay for it? Finding investors, and then what are you going to do with the money? So this program encourages them to save a little, spend a little, and give a little to your non-profits.”
January Yeager with the Soldotna Chamber says many children donate to the animal shelters or the LeeShore Center.
This year, Lemonade Day is June 13th.
Yeager: “This is our fourth year here in the Soldotna/Kenai area. It’s a great program, we’re very excited about it, and as a chamber we love to promote business, especially starting when kids are young and getting them excited about their ideas and knowing that they can own a business.”
