For students in the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, Friday, November 11th is an early release day for students. School will end 90 minutes early for students today. Buses will also run 90 minutes earlier than normal at the end of the day.
Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Superintendent Clayton Holland spoke to KSRM;
“This is a time when we do professional development and collaboration in our schools. So, we are better and educating your children.”
Students will meet the minimum day requirement, leaving teachers with additional time to work on improvement strategies. On early release days, afternoon PreK sessions are canceled, however morning PreK sessions do occur. The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District reminds parents and families to check with your school as they will have further details based on school schedules.
