Speaker of the House Mike Chenault (R-Nikiski) sent a letter to Governor Bill Walker last Friday voicing his displeasure with the Alaska Fish and Game Commissioner nomination process.
The letter pointed to Board of Fisheries member Karl Johnstone who refused to answer as to why he voted against local drifter Maw, of the Kenai Peninsula, and said that action leads to perceptions of a lack of public process.
Chenault said he did hear from the Governor after the letter was delivered.
