The Salmon Run Series and the Soldotna Cycle Series continue through mid-August with the fourth races in each series scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday on the Tsalteshi Trails at Skyview Middle School.
Salmon Run Series
The Salmon Run Series features Race #4 on July 27th with registration open at 5:30 and the kids race set for 6 p.m. with the open race at 6:15 p.m.
Online registration through the Kenai Watershed Forum website is available until 3 p.m. on race day. Individual races are $15. Raffle tickets will be on sale for a weekly drawing for further support of the KWF.
The five-week series of races on Wednesday nights is designed to build fitness and community. Routes progress from weeks 1-4, getting harder each week, and week 5 is a repeat of week 1, to test your fitness.
Soldotna Cycle Series
The Soldotna Cycle Series features mountain bike racing every Thursday night on the Tsalteshi Trails. Single race registration is available at the beginning of each race.
Registration begins at 5:45 p.m. and racing starts at 6:15 p.m.
The Soldotna Cycle Series is a MTB race series that is open to riders of all ability levels. There will be a 6k and 12k race distance. The series progresses in difficulty from easiest to hardest. Racers should be able to finish their event distance within an hour. Come ride bikes with the friendliest, most welcoming bike community around.
