SC Man Dies, Truck Collided with Anchor Point Home

A South Carolina man died Sunday morning after his vehicle collided with a home near Anchor Point.

 

76-year-old Adolph Weitzel was trapped in a blue 2006 Chevy truck when a caller found him at 10:29am Sunday at the residence near mile 151.1 of the Sterling Highway.

 

Weitzel was unresponsive. Anchor Point EMS and Soldotna Highway Troopers responded and extricated Weitzel. He was then taken to South Peninsula Hospital in Homer where he was pronounced deceased.

 

The home owner was notified and responded to his residence. Next of kin was notified.
