The Kenai Peninsula Borough School Board will address the process for naming a superintendent that would start this coming July.
Pegge Erkeneff with the school district said Sean Dusek is still the acting interim superintendent and will be until the process is decided.
Erkeneff: “And there’s several things that could happen, we could do a national search if they determine that they want to hire somebody from outside or in the state, they could also appoint somebody. So they’re going to be making their decision and then from that point forward the next steps are going to be put into place.”
Dusek took over the position after former superintendant Dr. Steve Atwater took a job for the Univeristy of Alaska as the elementary liason.
The school board has a work session planned for 2:30 pm on January 12 to discuss the process.
Also on the agenda for monday is a 1:30 pm meeting for a Fiscal Year 2015 budget revision and Fiscal Year 2016 budget information.
