A recurring topic will be picked up tonight at a new time; the School Board will kick their discussions off an hour earlier than usual according to Superintendent Sean Dusek…
Dusek: “And the biggest thing there is that we’re starting at 6pm instead of 7. That’s a change, we’re getting in line with what the Assembly does, so 6pm tonight at the Assembly building. A lot of information on tap, we do have a couple schools presenting: Kenai Alternative and Cooper Landing, along with a lot of discussion on the budget.”
If the State chooses to reduce schools funding, the District will be left with an even larger than anticipated deficit, since the Borough’s funding will have to be down-scaled accordingly.
