Senator Peter Micciche has had a full plate between the Soldotna Teen Center, HB77, LNG expansion on the peninsula and capturing seemingly elusive dogs among other things.

He and his staff are now headed to Juneau for their 2nd legislative session, we spoke to him late last night to discuss his plan for this session.

Sen. Micciche: “We’re packing up and heading down to a session in Juneau this week. We wanted to remind folks where we are and we are there to support them, pick up the phone and give us a call at a local number and the phone will ring down there in Juneau, we have staff and myself there to help you and I’ll continue to make my decisions based on the beliefs from the folks in District O.

We asked him what are some of the big issues he plans to take up while in the State’s capital.

Sen. Micciche: “Guaranteeing water rights for all Alaskan’s under House Bill 77, fisheries issues, funding education, funding Spur Highway safety improvements between Kenai and Soldotna and supporting responsible, local municipal priorities. I think we have a solid team of folks in Juneau right now for our local legislators focused on what’s best for Alaskan’s instead of on a party or a particular philosophy and its really about getting Alaska moving again.”

Sen. Micciche and his staff can be reached in Juneau at 283-7996.
