Sen. Sullivan Demands President Change Course On Energy Policy As Prices Skyrocket At Home

In his first State of the Union address, President Joe Biden focused on the pandemic, inflation, and the Russia/Ukraine situation. He also spoke on the soaring gasoline prices as Americans express worry about having to shell out more for a gallon of regular gasoline. Biden announced that the U.S. has worked with 30 other countries to release 60 million barrels of oil from reserves around the world and that the U.S. is releasing 30 million barrels from the U.S. strategic reserve.

 

At issue is the fact that the United States is still buying oil from Russia as the Biden Administration’s sanctions reportedly exempts the Russia energy sector, according to U.S. Dan Sullivan who spoke to the Fox Business Network:

 

As a follow-up to President Biden’s State of the Union, Sullivan, in a social media post, said that Biden had the opportunity to change the course on his war on American energy but chose not to “dismissing the real hardships of American families and further emboldening our adversaries – including Russia and China”.
