The Northern Lights Conference and the Kachemak Conference crowned individual and team champions in high school wrestling with the NLC tournament at Wasilla High and the Kachemak tournament at Homer High School.
Northern Lights Conference
The Colony Knights held-off a challenge by Wasilla and Palmer for the NLC team title.
Four individual champions representing Soldotna and Kenai High School earned automatic qualification to the upcoming ASAA 4A State Wrestling Championships, along with a collection of top-five finishers in each of the 15 weight classes contested.
Seth Hutchison, a senior at SoHi, won his fourth-straight state wrestling championship; Seth won the 126-pound title with a narrow 5-4 decision in the championship match.
Gideon Hutchison, a freshman for the Stars, captured his first conference title with a pin in the 106-pound championship match.
Kenai senior Zack Koziczkowski recorded a pin over SoHi’s Dalton Best in the 285-pound championship pairing.
In the girls championship final, Kenai’s Natalie Chavez won by pin in the 106-pound division.

Kachemak Conference
The Homer Mariners wrestled to the team title in the Kachemak Conference and the Nikiski Bulldogs earned three individual championships and qualify ten wrestlers to the upcoming 1-2-3A ASAA Wrestling Championships.
Nikiski senior TJ Cox won the 120-pound division with a technical fall victory in the final match.
Bulldog senior Nathan Carstens captured the 170-pound division, recording a 5-4 decision in the championship match.
Senior Luke Johnson was crowned 285-pound champion, receiving a medical forfeit in the final match.
