The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities has begun preliminary studies and has announced an open house in regards to Seward Airport improvements.
Seward City Clerk Johanna Kinney said from what she understands, mostly structural improvements are needed in order for the Seward Airport to remain open.
The open house public meeting is scheduled for September 11 between 4 and 7 pm at the K.M. Rae Marine Education Building in Seward.
