The Seward Police Department will be hosting a Citizen’s Police Academy once a week beginning in January 2015 for ten weeks.
Although there is no charge to attend the academy, the class size is limited to the first 20 selected applicants and applications are available at the Seward Police Department.
The academy is described as a highly informative and interesting learning experience that will offer insights into the law enforcement profession in Seward.
Participation in the ten weekly sessions require applicants to be at least 18 years of age, commit to attend 10 weekly sessions lasting between two and two and a half hours each, sign any required waivers or agreements and consent to a criminal history and driver’s license background check.
Applications are being accepted at this time and the deadline is December 21st, 2014.
