Seward Highway Crash Near Mile Post 73, Intermittent Closures

Alaska State Troopers are responding to a major crash on the Seward Highway near mile post 73.0 coming down out of Turnagain Pass. The crash involves multiple vehicles with secondhand accounts indicating it is a car vs truck collision on the southbound side of the highway. A Nixle alert indicates that the Seward Highway will experience intermittent highway closures at least until 9:00 p.m. as the crash scene is investigated and cleared.
