At roughly 7:15 this evening Anchorage Police recieved a report that a collision between a commercial vehicle and a passenger vehicle had occurred near Potter Marsh.
Anchorage Police and medics arrived on scene where one individual was pronounced dead, police closed the Seward Highway at this time in both directions to continue investigation.
Currently drivers can access the highway to and from Anchorage by using Rabbit Creek road, the Old Seward Highway and Potter Valley road.
The highway is only closed by the Potter Marsh area.
Further details report that a semi and sedan were traveling in opposite directions before the collision occurred and a female involved in the collision was pronounced dead at the scene.
