Two Seward prison inmates were caught by Alaska State Troopers as they tried to escape Thursday evening.
The inmates tried to climb a wall at the Spring Creek Correctional Facility and Troopers were notified of the attempted escape just before 9 pm June 11.
Corrections officers had quickly stopped the inmates before notifying AST.
The charges against the inmates are being forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.
The incident is still being investigated.
