Seward Sweeps Nikiski In Peninsula Conference: Basketball Scoreboard

Peninsula Conference basketball, in both 1A and 2A, featured conference pairings on Friday with the Nikiski Bulldogs on the road at Seward and Cook Inlet Academy in Anchorage to battle Lumen Christi.

Ninilchik splits Interior Conference home games with Su-Valley.

 

Nikiski @ Seward

After strong showings at the Bethel tournament, both Bulldog teams stumbled in Seward dropping a pair of 2A Peninsula Conference games.

Seward Girls 43 – Nikiski 33

Seward improves to 3-1 in Peninsula Conference games with a 43-33 victory over the Bulldog girls led by Lena Jagielski’s 18 points; Savanna Stock and Avery White scored seven each for Nikiski.

Seward boys 44 – Nikiski 39

Seward held-off Nikiski 44-39 with a 16 point effort by Ozzy Deal. Nikiski’s Drew Handley topped the Bulldogs.

 

Cook Inlet Academy @ Lumen Christi

CIA girls 40 – Lumen Christi 22

The Cook Inlet girls defeated Lumen 40-22 to improve to 2-0 in 1A Peninsula Conference basketball.  Tatum Rozak topped all scorers with 18 points.

CIA boys 64 – Lumen Christi 33

The Eagle boys dominated Lumen Christi 64-33 behind 24 points by Ian McGarry.   CIA improves to 2-0 in conference play.

 

Ninilchik vs Susitna Valley

Susitna Valley girls 55 – Ninilchik 9

Wolverine’s Riley Tucker had all nine Ninilchik points in a 55-9 home loss to the Rams.

Ninilchik boys 76 – Susitna Valley 36

The Wolverines continued 2A dominance with a 76-36 victory over Su-Valley, improving to 5-0 in the Interior Conference.  Jaylin Scott and Kade McCorison each scored 20 for the Wolverines.
