Volleyball teams from Barrow to Sitka are scheduled to participate in the 2022 Shayna Pritchard Memorial Volleyball Tournament at Nikiski High School. The tournament features two days of competition with pool play on Friday, August 26 and bracket play on Saturday, August 27.
The Kenai Kardinals volleyball team recorded a second-straight championship in 2021 and return to defend their back-to-back championships (2020). Kenai defeated SoHi 2-0 in 2021; the Stars won the tournament in 2019, however SoHi will not attend in 2022 due to conference contests in Colony.
Teams scheduled to participate: Barrow, Bethel, Homer, Kenai, Nikiski and Sitka
Pool play begins at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Nikiski High School with teams playing- two-games to 25 points- matches.
