Kenai Peninsula Schools will have an abbreviated week as children are scheduled for an early release Wednesday and no school Thursday or Friday.
Pegge Erkeneff with the School District said after Wednesday there will be just two more early release days scheduled.
Erkeneff: “And those are days when students actually have a shorter day by 90 minutes but teachers maximize the school day and work on collaborating and improving teacher’s teaching skills and work with one another in order to provide a better educational experience for our students.”
Students will get out of school an hour and a half early on Wednesday, February 4 and then have no school due to parent teacher conferences February 5-6.
The two remaining early release days are Friday, March 27, and Friday, May 1.
