Middle school athletes from throughout the Kenai Peninsula competed in the KPBSD Middle School Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Soldotna High School.
Skyview Middle topped the team scoring in both girls and boys competition.

Ellie Burns, Skyview, recorded four, first-place finishes to lead the Skyview girls. Burns won the 400M, 800M and 1600M events and anchored the winning 4X400M relay for Skyview.
Rhys Cannava, Skyview, won both the long jump and triple jump and was a member of the winning 4X100M relay team for Skyview.
Caleigh Glassmaker, Skyview, raced to victories in the 100M, 200M and 4X100M relay.
Bethany Richmond, Skyview, won the 100M hurdles.
Kenai’s Melanie Hopkins topped the field in the girls shot put.
