A small plane overturned Tuesday night after a trio heading to Port Alsworth ran out of fuel.
Troopers responded to the report of a personal locator beacon being activated 20 miles northwest of Port Alsworth. Witnesses found the plane upside down with people standing nearby.
The Alaska Rescue Coordination Center picked up the pilot, 61-year-old Mark McNeill, and two passengers, 64-year-old Rocky McElveen and 24 year-old Talon Heying. They all refused medical attention and were flown to Illiamna.
McNeill is from Oklahoma and the passengers are from California.
