Goals were hard to come by on Kenai and SoHi home turf on Thursday with all three local contests posting shutouts by the visiting teams.
Juneau Girls 4 – SoHi Girls 0
The SoHi girls suffered their first loss in a 4-0 shutout at the foot of the Juneau girls soccer team. Juneau scored twice in the first half and added two, second half goals for the non-conference victory.
Homer Girls 1 – Kenai Girls 0
The Mariners netted the only goal of the contest on a Kappa Reutov goal off of a Mariner free kick. Homer improves to 3-0-1 in conference play and the Karidnals drop to 0-3.
Kenai Boys 0 – Homer Boys 0
A defensive struggle produced a 0-0 tie on Thursday between the Kardinal boys and Mariners. Kenai goaltender Aidan Milburn and Homer goalie Lucas Story each recorded shutouts between the pipes.
