Soccer Teams Continue Regular Season Pairings

The final Saturday in April for the high school soccer season featured the Stars hosting Homer on neutral turf at KCHS and the Bulldogs battling Redington in the Valley.

 

SoHi Boys 4 – Homer 1

The SoHi boys opened the varsity contests on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over Homer on the KCHS field.

Josh Heiber recorded a three-goal, hat trick for the Stars and Ty Wackler netted SoHi’s first goal with an assist by Heiber.

SoHi Girls 1 – Homer 1

Following a scoreless first half, the Soldotna Star girls and Homer Mariners played to a 1-1 tie on Saturday in Peninsula Conference action.

Homer opened the second half scoring with a penalty kick by Izzy Dye.  SoHi answered with a Katie Delker goal assisted by Sierra Kuntz.

 

Nikiski Girls 0 – Redington 4

The Bulldog girls went scoreless for the three-day road trip to the Valley, falling to Redington 4-0 on Saturday.

Nikiski Boys 1 – Redington 3

Austin Stafford netted the Bulldogs lone goal with assists to Gavin White and Jim Lamping in a 3-1 loss to the Huskies.
