The Buddy Dale Baseball Tournament, hosted at Wasilla High School, opened with a pair of tournament games and an exhibition game involving the Soldotna Stars.
SoHi 10 – Homer 9
The Stars baseball team downed the Homer Mariners with a walk-off RBI single by Derrick Jones scoring Matthew Graham.
SoHi and Wasilla played a five-inning exhibition game with Wasilla scoring an 11-7 win to close the tournament’s first day.
