The offense generated seven runs in the first two innings and the pitching staff combined to allow only two runs; as the Soldotna baseball team recorded a 9-2 victory over Houston in Southcentral Conference baseball action on Thursday.
SoHi pitchers Cody Quelland, Hunter Thompson and Calvin Hills combined to allow two runs on four hits, with Thompson and Hills holding Houston without a run or hit in the final three innings.
SoHi improves to 6-1 in conference play and the Stars are scheduled to host Kodiak on Friday and Saturday; varsity game on Friday set for 6:00 p.m. and Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
