SoHi Basketball Takes Pair At Seward

In non-divisional basketball on Saturday, the 4A Soldotna Stars calmed Senior Night at Seward High School with a pair of victories over the host 3A Seahawks.

 

SoHi Girls 55 – Seward 39

Katelyn Morrison led the SoHi girls to a 55-39 victory over Seward with 15 points.  The Stars built a 38-14 halftime lead and lead by 22 in the third quarter.

SoHi Boys 67 – Seward 46

Down 16-13 after one quarter, the SoHi boys defense held Seward without a field goal in the second quarter for a 30-20 halftime lead.  The Stars extended to a 20-point lead by the end of the third quarter.  Izaiah Gilbert, for a second, straight game, led the Stars with 17 points.

 

The Soldotna Stars close the regular season next Saturday, March 4th with conference games against Palmer at SoHi for the Stars Senior Day.  Game times are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m. at Soldotna High School.
