The SoHi boys continued play at the 2022 Alaska Prep Shootout at Dimond High School on Thursday with a second-round loss to the Service Cougars 50-44 in the consolation bracket.
Service 50 – SoHi 44
The Stars trailed through much of the contest against Service with the Cougars winning 50-44. Back-to-Back baskets by Ethan Sewell drew the Stars to within four points in the final minute at 48-44. Sewell lead the Stars with 12 points and five rebounds; Blake Inger added 10 points. SoHi shot 40% from the floor and committed 14 turnovers.
The tournament is off on Friday, due to religious observances by the Anchorage School District, and returns to play on Saturday.
SoHi will face Mt. Edgecombe at noon on Saturday at Dimond High School.
