A championship game victory over the host Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears for the Soldotna Stars boys basketball team locked-up the boys team title for SoHi at the 2019 Princess Cruises Capital City Basketball Tournament on Monday in Juneau.
SoHi 54 – Juneau 52
A back-door layup by Mekhai Rich with 2.5 seconds remaining pushed the Stars past Juneau 54-52 in Monday’s championship game. SoHi lead 52-50 before allowing a Crimson Bear basket with :10 seconds remaining to tie the game at 52-52.
