The Soldotna Stars cheer squad took top honors in the Scholastic Small Division, 3rd place in the 5-man stunt, and finished third overall in total scores, all-divisions at the Alaska Spirit Coaches Association State Cheer Competition; the state-wide event held at the Alaska Airlines Center on the campus of UAA in Anchorage.
SoHi’s lone individual competitor Seryn Sproul placed sixth overall. Dimond and Chugiak were the top teams in overall scoring, both teams with squads of over 20 cheerleaders.
Competing for the Stars: Halen Wells, Kayli Kitchens, Alexis Terra, Jenni Morris, Ari Hiler, Carajean Gibbons, Seryn Sproul and Sophie Thomas.
