The Soldotna Stars wrestling program sent a message to the other Alaska wrestling teams that SoHi is primed and ready for the upcoming conference and state championships; as the Stars boys outscored South 240.5 to 164.5 for the boys title at the Grace Grizzly Shakedown in Anchorage.
The Soldotna Boys wrestled to six, individual weight-class championships and the SoHi girls recorded two individual titles in the 23-team, regular season ending competition.

SoHi
The Soldotna boys placed wrestlers in the top-four in 10 of 12 weight classes and six SoHi boys topped the podium in their respective divisions.
First-place finishes for the Stars included:
Ezekiel Miller at 125, Michael Dickinson at 130, Hunter Bras at 135, Isaac Chavarria at 152, Hunter Richardson at 189 and Liam Babitt at 215.
Also placing in the top-four for the SoHi boys:
Jacob Strausbaugh was second at 112, Trevor Michael was second at 145, Edgar Land was third at 160, Samuel Strouse was fourth at 103, Ryan Buchanan was fourth at 119, Bowen Korth was fourth at 152, Collin Peck was fourth at 171.
SoHi placed first out of 23 teams in the Grace Grizzly boys tournament.
KCHS
The Kenai Kardinal boys placed eighth overall in the team scoring and were lead by Jaxson Young, third at 103; Andrew Gaethle, third at 152 and Owen Whicker, fourth at 135.
Grace Grizzly Shakedown: Girls
SoHi
The SoHi girls topped the podium in two weight classes in a fireld which featured 10 divisions.
SoHi’s Jessica Leclair won the girls 107 lb. weight class and Daisy Hannevold won the girls 138 lb. division. Other top-five place winners included: Angelina Chavarria, second at girls 114; Kaytlin McAnelly, second at girls 132; Keeley Moore, third at 100 girls; Alyssa McDonald, fourth at girls 165; Taylor Whittom, fifth at girls 114 and Erin Bell, fifth at girls 165.
KCHS
For the Kardinals, Sarai Bravo-Moe placed second in the girls 126 lb. division and Jenna Yeoman finished second in the girls 165 lb. division.
