SoHi Downs Kenai & Homer Sweeps Nikiski In Soccer Pairings

Four goals proved the winning number for both Soldotna High soccer teams against the Kenai Kardinals on Tuesday at KCHS.  In Homer, the Mariners allowed only one goal in two games defeating the Nikiski Bulldogs.

 

SoHi Girls 4 – Kenai Girls 0

Four different scorers found the back of the net for the Soldotna Stars girls soccer team in a 4-0 shutout of Kenai.  SoHI goals were scored by: Liberty Miller, Bay Bloom, Morgan Lemm and Rhys Cannava.  Sunny Miller recorded the shutout in goal for the Stars.

 

SoHi Boys 4 – Kenai Boys 1

SoHi goalie Gehret Medcoff held the Kardinals to a single goal in a 4-1 victory for the Stars over the Kardinals on Tuesday at KCHS.

SoHi’s offense featured a three-goal, hat trick by Josh Heiber and a single goal for Dylan Walton.  Kenai’s Leif Lofquist scored the Kardinals lone goal in the second half.

 

Homer Girls 9 – Nikiski 1

Lillian Carstens scored the only goal for the Bulldogs in a 9-1 loss to Homer.  The Mariners recorded a three-goal, hat trick by Sela Weisser.

 

Homer Boys 6 – Nikiski 0

The Mariners Owen Pitzman notched a three-goal, hat trick in a 6-0 shutout of the Bulldog boys in Homer on Tuesday.  Mariner goalies Lucas Story and Theo McDonough combined for the shutout.
