Non-divisional basketball features the Soldotna Stars basketball teams hosting the Nikiski Bulldogs on Tuesday at Soldotna High School, the only regular season pairings between the Stars and Bulldogs in the 2019-2020 basketball season.
The 4A SoHi Lady Stars stand at 11-0 on the season with a tournament championship in Nome and an unbeaten bracket run in San Diego. The Stars are 2-0 in Northern Lights Conference play with a pair of victories over Kodiak last weekend. The 3A Nikiski girls, fresh off an undefeated Nikiski Russ Hitchcock Tip-off Tournament, look to test themselves against the large school Stars. Both teams qualified to the ASAA state basketball tournament in 2019; the Bulldogs finishing runner-up to ACS in the 3A tournament and the Star girls placing 5th in the 4A tournament.

The Soldotna boys, with a pair of conference victories over Kodiak and tournament championships at SoHi Tip-off, Capital City in Juneau and Nome Invitational, host Nikiski in a non-divisional Tuesday night game. The Stars are 2-0 in the 4A Northern Lights Conference and 10-1 on the basketball season. Both teams are lead by guard play: SoHi with Jersey Truesdell and Ray Chumley; Nikiski with Noah Litke and Michael Mysing. Truesdell and Litke were both named tournament MVP at their respective, most recent tournaments.
