SoHi Football Dominates El Cajon’s Christian High 42-7 In Southern California

How would Alaska’s best football program match-up against a Southern California CIF power?  Very well, thank you!

 

The Soldotna Stars stifling defense and pounding offense overpowered Christian High School 42-7 on Friday night in El Cajon, California under the lights and in the humid 85 degree night.

SoHi 42 – Christian High 7

The Soldotna Stars scored on their first three possessions and held the Patriots to three-straight, 3-and-out possessions to build a 20-0 lead midway through the second quarter.  The Patriots managed a single touchdown and were twice held scoreless in the red zone by SoHi’s defense.  The Stars scored on three-straight, second half drives to build a 42-7 lead and send the game to a running clock for the fourth quarter.

Top performances included:

Aaron Faletoi: Three rushing touchdowns and over 105 yards rushing

Jersey Truesdell: One rushing touchdown and one passing touchdown and 115 yards rushing

Wyatt Medcoff: Over 110 yards rushing and one touchdown

SoHi Defense: Held Patriots rushing to -5 yards rushing in first quarter; one interception, stopped Patriots twice in red zone and three times on downs.

 

SoHi returns to Alaska for Homecoming Week and a Friday night home game against Lathrop High School on Friday, September 13th.
