The Soldotna Stars girls basketball team closed-out tournament play with a 45-30 loss to the Palmer Moose in the NLC Basketball Championships 4th-Place Game at Palmer High School on Saturday.
Palmer 45 – SoHi 30 4th/6th Place Game
The Palmer Moose girls pulled-away from the Soldotna Stars in the second half to record a 45-30 victory in the NLC tournament’s third-place game on Saturday at Palmer High School.
SoHi trailed early falling behind 17-9 in the first quarter and 24-17 at the half. Palmer increased its lead to 15 points in the fourth quarter. Tanner Inman lead the Stars with eight points.
The SoHi girls end tournament play with a 1-2 record, with a victory over the Kodiak Bears.
The NLC girls championship game will match #1 seed ACS girls against the #2 seed Colony Knights, both teams have earned automatic berths to the ASAA 4A Girls State Basketball Championships.
The NLC boys championship game will feature the #1 seed Colony Knights against the #2 seed Kodiak Bears, both teams have earned automatic berths to the ASAA 4A Boys State Basketball Championships.
