The Soldotna Star boys basketball team exploded for 28 points in the fourth quarter against the Colony Knights; Colony holding-off the Stars for a 58-59 Knights victory in Northern Lights Conference basketball action on Saturday in the Valley.
Colony Boys 59 – SoHi Boys 58
The Colony Knights outlasted the Stars on Saturday 59-58. SoHi trailed 47-30 to the Knights after three quarters; then, Ethan Sewell lead a SoHi rally with 17 points in the fourth quarter as the Stars recorded a 28-point quarter. Sewell finished with 25 points and Nate Johnson added 10 points for the Stars. SoHi drops to 0-8 in NLC contests.
Colony Girls 67 – SoHi Girls 34
The Knights controlled Saturday’s NLC game against the Stars throughout, leading 34-20 at the half and 47-30 after three quarters in a 67-34 Knights victory. Kaytlin McAnelley scored 10 points for SoHi. The Lady Stars stand at 2-5 in NLC contests.
