The Soldotna Stars girls track team’s demonstrated its collective depth at the Palmer Invitational Track & Field Meet with the Star girls scoring in 17 of 18 events including four championships and six, second place finishes in a field which included 18 teams; The Star girls earn the team championship at Palmer High School.
The Soldotna boys placed third in the team scoring.

SoHi’s Erika Arthur raced to a victory in the 3200M and as a member of the SoHi 4X400M Relay team (Arthur, Strausbaugh, Burns and Crosby-Schneider); Katelynn Morrison won the triple jump and Drysta Crosby-Schneider jumped to a victory in the girls long jump for the Stars four event titles. Autumn Fischer placed second in both the Shot Put and Discus for the Stars; Crosby-Schneider places second in the 200M and 400M and Jordan Strausbaugh recorded a second in the 1600M and a pair of third place finishes in the 400M and 800M.
The SoHi 4X400M Relay in 4:17.45 set a new state-best and Grace Christian’s Brennyn Edwards set new state-best in 400M at 59.51.
Palmer Invitational: Boys Results
SoHi’s Dylan Dahlgren threw for a state-best 147’1″ in the boys discus helping the SoHi boys to a third place in the team scoring. Dahlgren also placed second in the Shot Put.
Kenai’s Maison Dunham topped the field in the 800M run at 2:02.68. The SoHi 4X100M Relay and 4X200M Relay both recorded first place finishes.
