The Soldotna Stars held-off Palmer 4-3 in overtime on Friday to advance to the Big Lake Lions Classic hockey tournament championship game at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday at the Big Lake Recreation Center.
The Stars will face host Houston for the Big Lake Lions Classic title.

Dylan Dahlgren scored the game-winner for the Soldotna Stars in Friday’s semi-final contest against the Palmer Moose, netting the winning goal at 4:03 of the overtime period.
The Stars forced the overtime with a tying goal by Gehret Medcoff with only :18.6 seconds remaining in regulation.
SoHi opened a 2-0 lead i the first period with a pair of power-play goals; the first for Marshall DeReave and the second by Josh O’Lena. Ayden See recorded 25 saves for the Stars.
SoHi recorded its second-straight overtime tournament victory following a Thursday 3-2 win over Wasilla in overtime.

The three-day, bracketed tournament features Division I schools: Wasilla, Bartlett and East and Division II schools: SoHi, Palmer, Houston, Monroe and the Colony JV team.
