The first head-to-head pairing on the ice between the Soldotna Stars and the Kenai Kardinals hockey teams drops the puck on Tuesday night at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.
Both SoHi and Kenai opened the regular season with road contests in Homer against the Mariners; SoHi with a 2-1 overtime victory and Kenai with a narrow 5-4 loss.
The SoHi vs Kenai hockey game is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. and will be conducted under KPBSD covid mitigation plans. All spectators, personnel, coaches and players must wear masks at all times in the facility.
The KPBSD covid mitigation plans submitted by the schools and approved by the KPBSD administration take precedent over the SRSC mitigation plans approved by the Soldotna City Council (see sports center mandates story on sports page).
