The Kodiak Bears completed an unbeaten swing through the peninsula with victories over SoHi and Kenai on Saturday in high school softball.
SoHi 1 – Kodiak 12
The Bears outscored SoHi 12-0 after allowing a first inning run to the Stars. Kiara Forkner scored on an RBI double by Brook Foster for the Stars lone run. Kodiak starter Danica Howell earned the win pitching five innings.
Kenai 2 – Kodiak 13
The Karidnals didn’t fare much better against Kodiak on Saturday falling 13-2 in non-conference softball. Kodiak blew the game open early with an 11-run first inning. Kenai’s Zoey Riley, Maggie Grenier and Kailey Stynsberg each recorded a pair of hits in the Kenai lose.
