SoHi & Kenai Open State Baseball Tournament Play On Thursday

The ASAA Division II Baseball and Division II Softball state championship tournaments open three-days of competition on Thursday, June 2nd and run through Championship Saturday, June 4th.

The Division II Baseball Championships, featuring eight teams from Southcentral, Mid Alaska and Southeast Conference , will be played at the Wasilla High School Field.

The Division II Softball Championships, featuring teams from North Pole to Ketchikan, will open with pool play on Thursday and bracketed play on Friday and Saturday.

 

ASAA Division II Baseball Championships

Soldotna (Southcentral Conference runner-up), Kenai, Grace Christian and Kodiak are seeded along with SCC champion Palmer, Mid Alaska champion North Pole, Monroe, and Petersburg.

SoHi earns the #2 seed from the Southcentral Conference and KCHS earns the #3 seed from the SCC.  Palmer, the SCC champion, is awarded the #1 seed overall.

11 a.m.  Kenai vs North Pole

1:30 p.m.  Monroe vs Petersburg

4 p.m.  SoHi vs Grace Christian

6:30 p.m.  Palmer vs Kodiak

ASAA Division II Softball Championships @ South Davis Park Complex in Fairbanks

Homer, NLC tournament champion, and Kodiak, NLC runner-up, will represent the Northern Lights Conference.

Thursday, June 2nd (Pool Play)
12:00 p.m.   Ketchikan v Kodiak          Homer v North Pole
2:30 p.m.     Kodiak v Delta                 North Pole v Thunder Mt
5:00 p.m.     Delta v Ketchikan            Thunder Mt v Homer

Friday, June 3rd (Bracket Play)
Games scheduled for noon, 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Saturday, June 4th (Bracket Play)
Games scheduled for 10:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

 

The ASAA Division I (large school) Baseball Tournament will be played at Mulcahy Park from June 2-4.  South Anchorage is the top seed; the Wolverines are undefeated at 23-0 and have not lost a high school baseball game in two seasons.

The ASAA Division I Softball Tournament is scheduled for South Davis Park Complex in Fairbanks running from June 2-4.
