With their third head-to-head victory in the past six days the Soldotna Stars volleyball team improved to 6-0 on the regular season, SoHi downing the Homer Mariners on Wednesday 3-1 at Soldotna High School.
Itu Tuisaula lead the SoHi offensive attack with a season-high 30 kills as the Stars defeated Homer 2o-25, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-20. SoHi dropped game one, then rallied taking three-straight games with Bailey Armstrong and Kylie Ness adding seven and five kills, respectively.
Volleyball action moves to Anchorage for the area varsity teams with SoHi, Kenai and Nikiski scheduled to compete in the West Spiketacular. Junior varsity teams will play at the Wasilla Invitational and C teams will compete at the Colony Invitational.
