With first place finishes in 13 boys events and in eight girls events, both the SoHi boys and girls teams earned the team titles at the SoHi Invitational Track & Field Meet, a two-day competition held Friday and Saturday at SoHi.
SoHi Invitational Meet Results: Boys
The SoHi boys strength across the board held-off runner-up Grace Christian 159.5 to 119, Kenai finish third at 105 team points.
SoHi senior Dylan Dahlgren won both throwing events, including a state-best 145′ 11′ in the discus and a 50′ 7″ shot put. 
Soldotna senior Nathan Johnson won three individual events with victories in the cold and wind in the 400M, 800M and triple jump.
SoHi’s Leigh Tacey II swept the short sprints with wins in the 100M and 200M.
SoHi’s Daniel McRorie won the 300M hurdles in a personal-best 45.81, out-leaning teammate Wyatt Faircloth at 45.82. Ethan Sewell won the boys high jump for the Stars.
The Star boys also won three relays including the 4X800M relay, 4X200M relay and a dramatic race to the tape in the final event of the SoHi Invitational, the 4X400M relay (see results for team members).
Kenai Boys
Kenai senior Jacob Begich won the boys long jump.
The Kardinal boys raced to a victory in the 4X100M relay with teammates: Tyler Hippchen, Reagan Graves, Begich and James Sparks
SoHi Invitational Meet Results: Girls
SoHi Girls
The SoHi girls depth propelled the Stars to the girls team title at the SoHi Invitational outscoring runner-up Grace Christian 194 to 92.
Star Senior Jordan Strausbaugh won the girls 32ooM on Friday and Gracie Bras won the 100M.
The SoHi girls won three relays including the 4X800M relay, 4X200M relay, and the 4X400M relay (see results for team members).
SoHi freshman Anaulie Sedivy topped the field in the 300M hurdles.
The SoHi girls totaled 34 top-six finishes overall with just three, first-place individual finishes.
Kenai Girls
Kenai sophomore Emma Beck won the girls Shot Put with a personal-best 32’5.75″.
Emilee Wilson won the girls triple jump with a season-best 31’7″.
Nikiski Girls
Rylee Ellis posted a state-best 15’10.75″ in the girls long jump for first place.
Tri-Valley’s Ellie VanDeventer set a new state-best at 5’1″ in the girls high jump.
