The Soldotna track and field teams, on the strength of multiple top-six performances, swept the Homer Invitational Track and Field Meet in Homer on Saturday.
Girls Homer Invitational Results
SoHi
Katelyn Morrison, Adara Hagelund and Jordan Strausbaugh paced the SoHi girls to a team title with SoHi amassing 137 points out-scoring runner-up Colony with 67.5.
Morrison won the triple jump at 31’4″; finished second in the high jump at 4’6″; sixth in the long jump; and was a member of the winning SoHi 4X100M Relay team (Sisley, Bras, Chavarria, Morrison), 55.02.
Hagelund topped the field in the girls high jump at 4’8″; finished second in the triple jump (31’2″); finished fourth in the 100M Hurdles.
Strausbaugh lead the Stars in the middle and distance events with a second in the 800M at 2:25.71 and a second in the 1600M at 5:26.44; Strausbaugh and her teammates won the 4X400M Relay (A. Burns, E. Burns, McAnelly, Strausbaugh), 4:32.32.
Other Notable First Place Finishes
Nikiski’s Rylee Ellis, won the 800M in 2:25.64. Homer’s Stella Dye claimed all four Unified events, including the 100M, LJ, Shot Put and 4X100M Relay.
Boys Homer Invitational Results
SoHi
The Soldotna boys out-pointed Wasilla 112 to 93 with only four individual championships.
SoHi’s Dylan Dahlgren threw for victories in both the Shot Put (48’5″) and Discus (137’9″).
Nathan Johnson won the 4ooM; finished second in the 800M and Triple Jump (38’8.25″); and was a member of the SoHi 4X400M Relay (Faircloth, Innes, Tacey II, Johnson) which finished first in 3:41.74.
Leigh Tacey II recorded the Stars other first-place with a win in the 200M (24.34) and was member of the 4X400M Relay.

Homer’s Seamus McDonough swept the middle and distance events with wins in the 800M, 1,600M and 3,200M.
