The Homer Mariners downed the Soldotna Stars 25-13, 21-25, 25-18 and 25-22 on Tuesday night at Homer High School in non-divisional volleyball play.
Homer was lead by Gracie Gummer with 17 kills and Brooke Shafer with 29 assists. The Stars Katelyn Morrison and Chloe Armstrong each recorded eight kills and Emma Brantley notched 16 assists.
The Stars host the Kenai Kardinals on Thursday at Soldotna High School with the varsity match scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
