SoHi Volleyball Drops NLC Contest To Colony

In Northern Lights Conference volleyball in-front-of a large and loud home crowd, the Soldotna Stars fell 3-1 to the Colony Knights on Thursday at SoHi.

 

Colony 3 – SoHi 1

The Knights controlled the first set 25-13 and won the second set 25-18.

SoHi rallied to win set three 25-22 and carried the momentum into a memorable fourth set.  The Stars and Knights tied the set at 24-24 and traded points evenly in the rally scoring to 29-29.  Colony notched two consecutive points for the 31-29 win.  The Knights win the contest 3 games to one.

Katelyn Morrison recorded nine kills and Chloe Armstrong added seven kills for SoHi.  Emma Brantley recorded  17 assists.

The Colony Knight travel to Nikiski for a 3 p.m. varsity match against the Bulldogs on Friday.  Saturday, Colony returns to play the Stars in a 12:30 scheduled varsity pairing.
