Multiple seats for City of Soldotna boards and commissions are available for appointment or re-appointment with three-year terms beginning January 1st, 2023.
The City of Soldotna has City Board and Commission seats available. Soldotna Board & Commission members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Soldotna City Council.
Seats becoming vacant in December include::
- Airport Commission (Seats A and B) (One applicant shall be from the City of Soldotna Planning and Zoning Commission; current open vacancies on the Planning and Zoning Commission require that applicants must reside within City limits. Applicants may reside outside City limits; however, if an applicant resides outside of City limits the applicant must be an airport user.) Meetings are held on the third Thursday of March, June, September and December at 5:30 p.m.
- Library Advisory Board (Seat A) (Applicant may reside outside of City limits.) Meetings are held the third Monday of January, April, July and October at 5:15 p.m.
- Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (Seats D and G) (Applicants must reside within City limits.) Meetings are held the first Thursday of January, March, May, July, September, and November at 5:30 p.m.
- Planning & Zoning Commission (Seats A and E) (Applicants must reside within City limits.)[Financial Disclosure Statement required, AS 39.50] Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
All Board and Commission meetings are held in the Soldotna Council Chambers at Soldotna City Hall, 177 N. Birch Street, Soldotna, Alaska.
