“We want to remind everybody that if you’d like to see Santa again, he stuck around. Santa is coming to Soldotna this coming Saturday. We’re getting ready for our Soldotna Christmas in the Park. IT’s going to be December 4th. We start at 4:30 p.m. There’s going to be treats, hot cocoa, stockings filled with goodies, you’ll get to visit with Santa’s reindeer, we’re going to have caroling, we are going to have fireworks as well. We’re also doing a food drive for the food bank. Bring your food items. Something that people might not think of things like powdered milk, stuffing, I’ve been reading lists lately and things that the food bank could really use and those nonperishables are great additions for the food bank. We are just super excited to see everybody at Christmas in the Park this Saturday, either by 4:30 p.m. fireworks will take place at 6:30 p.m.”
The Christmas tree lighting will be held at 5:00 p.m. with Christmas caroling with the SoHi choirs. Santa will arrive on a firetruck and his reindeer will be by his side for pictures. While supplies last, there will be cookies and hot cocoa with free filled stocking for the children while supplies last. Stick around for the holiday fireworks scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Soldotna Creek Park.
In addition, if you plan on attending, layer up because its expected to be in the single digits Saturday evening.
